''I wanted to find something in life that I could use my creative side, yet not be stuck doing the same thing everyday. Fashion was it, how could I resist the constantly changing styles and creative outlets it offers. My passion is mainly in styling for photo shoots, creating my own unique photography, and eventually writing for featured fashion blogs and magazines. My favourite fashion photographer is Guy Aroch, I love how he takes a simple fashion editorial and adds a lifestyle into the picture that catches your eye.''

''My career goals are to eventually make it out to Europe, attend fashion school, and see what opportunities and experiences I can gain and learn from. I wanna enjoy everything I do in life and experience as much as I can!''

ALIENS OF THE FASHION INDUSTRY

Fashion has definitely reached a new extreme lately. If you look at most fashion magazines, you can see a variety of unique and out of the ordinary pieces, in particular are the types of shoes. The main trend that I’ve noticed often is the height of the heels on these shoes. We all know that a woman’s outfit is instantaneously more fashion forward when she puts on a pair of sexy heels, but in today’s version of heels, I’m starting to question if the pain us women have to endure for the overall look of our sky-high heels is ultimately worth it?

Alexander McQueen, for example, has designed a remarkable ten-inch heel on the runway for his past spring 2010 collection. As expected, his shoes became one of the most wanted items by his followers. According to a report by Grazia, '' apparently, not only is the shoes eye catching, but they are also an engineering mystery.'' This is evident since it is certainly a wonder how any woman, regardless of how talented she is, will be able to wear these shoes for more than a few minutes.

As you can see from the above pictures, yes the shoes are jaw dropping gorgeous, but again I don't know if I can put my feet through such pain

DEBUT AT VANCOUVER FASHION WEEK

Angela Chen's Spring 2010 Orange NYC Collection

Designer Angela Chen and her clothing line Orange NYC debut at the Vancouver Spring 2010 Fashion week. Raised in Vancouver Angela was given the opportunity to study at Parsons the New School for Design in New York City where her clothing line Orange NYC was born. Although she did receive a lot of recognition when her clothing line was carried in 'Debut' in Soho, New York she recently moved back to Vancouver because she feels this city is a great opportunity for independent designers to showcase their collections. As well to work with local merchants to expand the growing fashion industry in Vancouver.

Definitely a designer to watch out for in the coming seasons! Her clothing is very minimal in design details with structure and a essence of femininity.

''From a very young age I developed an eye for fashion. I used to draw stick figures with different outfits and was the pickiest child when it came to dressing myself and over the years fashion turned into a passion for me. There is nothing I enjoy more then being able to help others feel good in the way they present themselves. I look at fashion as an art, a lifestyle and most importantly a way for one to express themselves without words. My favourite designer is Betsey Johnson, I love how her personality is portrayed into her clothing. My ultimate goal is to be happy in life, and if I can do that by doing what I am most passionate about, fashion''
